Natural Hairstyles for Weddings, Prom and Special Occasions
Do you have a wedding coming up soon?
Or maybe you are a guest to a special occasion, probably your prom or graduation is coming up and you are stuck thinking, “what on earth am I going to do with my natural hair?”
Worse yet, people around you, be it friends, family and even strangers are constantly asking you the same
million dollar question. 🙄🙄
It can be VERY annoying.
But don’t lose hope, because your favourite blogger aka Igbocurls has come to the rescue! (Insert victory tone 😄)
There is this negative assumption about natural hair that you can’t wear it to formal occasions like weddings, prom, graduation and special occasions. Well today I’m here to tell you that it is a BIG FAT LIE.
Natural Hair is Beautiful is not just this blogs Moto but it is a FACT. You can wear it, style it and rock it anywhere you want to go and still look classy or fierce (depending on the look you are going for).

I have been styling and wearing my natural hair for 5 years now, and every special occasion I attend, people are always interested to know how I do it. They 😯oouuu and 😲ahhhh and sometimes stretch their hands to grab my hair 😪…but nonetheless, I get their attention.
(If that doesn’t already knock off the myth that you can’t style and look fabulous with your natural hair, then I don’t know what can.)
Therefore, whether your natural hair is short, medium length or long, you can still style it to look as beautiful, if not more beautiful than everyone else at the occasion you need to attend.
I have attached five of my styling tutorials below.
Some are pretty simple, some are a bit complicated but whichever one you like the most, don’t forget that you can always add natural hair extensions if your hair is not up to the same length as mine.
