How To Have a Fail-Proof 2- STRAND Twist Out EVERY TIME
There are three simple ways to have a fail-proof, well-defined twist -out everything and they are;
- Deep Conditioner
- Leave-in Conditioner
- Twist cream or Lock Gel
Deep conditioners are great for laying the foundation of a great twist out. You need to find one that activates your curls and your leave-in conditioner can take it up from there.
Also, your twist and lock cream or gel is great for that final topping you need to seal in your curls and keep them clumped for longer.
So always make sure you use these three products whenever you want a fail-proof, well-defined twist out.

3 Key Tips for Twisting Natural Hair Better
Your twist results also depend on the size of the twists.
- When you take small sections, your twist out results will be tightly coiled and defined with less volume.
- In medium sections, your twists will come out with more volume and definition.
- While in large sections, your twist out results will have more volume and less defined curls.
How To Twist Natural Hair in 2 Ways
The first way to twist for best results is this.
If you are right-handed, that is your right hand is your dominant hand, then you twist from right to left.
Take a section as explained above. Your section could be small, medium or large depending on the result you want.
Divide your section into two parts that are called two strands, and you cross the right over the left.
If you are new to twisting then your goal should be to twist as firmly and as close together as possible.
However, if you want to improve on your twists, try to bend your strand while you are crisscrossing so your twist has a smooth rope finish.
If you don’t understand what I mean, you can watch the video below.
The second way to twist is by using your left hand. If your left hand is your dominant hand, then this is perfect for you.
For those of us that are right-handed, this also works too. You just have to be patient and be willing to learn.
This twist is achieved by twirling each strand before crossing them over each other for a smooth frizz-free finish.
Bad twists for twist outs are twists that unravel before you finish twisting and are not firmly twisted together.
