Hi lovely people!
So I am back from my short break and with more new goodies in addition to those I posted last week.
*All these products are completely new to me.*
I was so glad when I finally found Living Proof products because I have read and researched so much about this brand but I couldn’t find it anywhere until now. I purchased the Living Proof Restore Mask Treatment from Space NK Apothecary for £35. If you look up the brand they have been awarded and praised by so many companies but the one that stood out for me was the award to the cofounder Dr. Robert S. Langer in 2013 for the Presidential Medal of Technology and Innovation by President Obama. I’ll tell more in my review in the coming weeks.
Next is Jane Carter Solution. This is a brand that is quite popular within the natural hair community. I found it randomly whilst walking past a hair shop in Bristol and particularly chose the Natural Twist out foam because I was simply curious about how it would work. My twist outs never come out good so lets see what this will do.
Afterwards, I got some shampoo bars from Lush and they smell absolutely divine. They are the ones wrapped below the Cantu Shea butter products in the picture. I got Jumping Juniper and Trichomania. Both are supposed to be good for curly hair types and they were the only two I found without herbs sticking out of them. I have had enough of things getting stuck in my hair and I prefer to get shampoo bars because they last longer than liquid ones.
In my last post, I mentioned that I was going to get the Cantu Shea Butter Leave in repair cream to add to the curl activator cream I bought so I while I was at it, I threw in the Deep Treatment Masque as I needed a new deep conditioner so I thought why not.
As for my marley braid, I have been drowned with picture after picture on Instagram by Crotchet braids so I just had to get three packs from the J’adore brand. I also got the crochet hook but I have no idea of when I want to do this style but when I decide, you all will be the first to know. 🙂
Finally, I added two packs of snap around rollers as an alternative to my flexi rods and some temporary hair bleach and crayon from BLEACH London. I got the crayon in Red and the liquid bleach in purple. Although, I have never really been a fan of colour due to its damaging effects on the hair cuticle, I couldn’t resist one that was temporary and just for £5! So, lots of reviews will be coming up in the following weeks. My braids are being taken out today so the fro will be free soon.
Can’t wait!
Peace & Blessings,
CJN
Note- I did not purchase all these products from one store or place. I searched around for what I wanted and I travelled to different cities as well. Let me know if you want any specific details on any of the products.
