This Product Review: Shea Butter Cottage Cioccolatina Bamboo Hair Milk first appeared on Igbocurls.com
In my first post this year (Happy New Year), I made an announcement that I would like to try more African hair brands and your response was overwhelming. May God Bless you all.
Following that, I was contacted by Esione of Beautifully Nappy and before you know it, she sent me my first SheaButter Cottage Cioccolatina Bamboo Hair Milk. I bought it for N3,360 and delivery was N2500 so it was a total of N5860.
Shea Butter Cottage is a Ghanaian natural handmade cosmetic company based in Britain and founded by Akua Wood.
Product Claim- Our bamboo hair milk is a light milky hair treatment spray with bamboo extract, broccoli & abyssinian oil to condition and help impart shine and lustre for all types of hair
Our vegan friendly bamboo hair spray can be used as a leave-in conditioner or as a daily light moisturiser. Can also be used before blow drying.
Ingredients- rosa damascena, aqua, bambusa arundinaceae extract, brassica oleracea italica, crambe abyssinica oil, behentrimonium methosulfate (and) cetearyl alcohol, panthenol, tocopherol (pure vit. e), lavandula angustifolia, citrus bergamia (fcf), potassium sorbate, cedrus atlantica, linalool, limonene
I proceeded to use this product as a leave in conditioner before I installed my white box braids and before I got to half of my hair, the 100ml bottle finished!
I already had a feeling that would happen because once I received the product, my first thought was, this bottle is so tiny. (-__- )
Anyway, SheaButter Cottage Cioccolatina Bamboo Hair Milk has a very light texture. My hair is very thick and high in porousity so I had to apply about three spritz worth of the product to make a section of my hair feel moisturized. Also, the smell reminded me of a mix of shea butter and peppermint that I found a bit overpowering after a while. (I later found out that this hair milk comes in both scented and unscented, so if I knew earlier, I would have purchased the unscented bottle.)
Also, this hair milk added a little sheen and absorbed fast but did not give me enough slip for detangling.
Now, the ultimate question, will I buy this product again? Sadly, no because its too small and too light for my hair.
Have you tried this product? How did your hair react to it?

So sorry you didn’t like it *tears* it’s a hit back to back with all my customers so far. I was sure you were going to love it. Sigh it’s because your hair is too much ?
Hahaha! If it was a thicker consistency and a bigger bottle maybe my hair would like it. It’s not your fault in any way.
