Hi people! Welcome to the month of November. Yes I know I am three days late but this is my first post of the month.
Since I took out my braids I have taken a low maintenance approach to taking care of my hair just incase I damaged it whilst protective styling.
So below are what I have done so far:
- Finger detangled my hair
- Sectioned it in chunky twists
- Pre-poo (pre shampoo) with Taliah Waajid mist modifier
since I had a lot already in my hairand, coated my strands with olive oil and left it overnight. - I used Lush Jumping Juniper to Shampoo (review coming soon).
- Deep conditioned with Cantu Shea Butter Deep Treatment Masque (review also coming soon for all the Cantu Shea Butter products I bought). I left the DC in for 30 minutes under a steamer and rinsed it all out.
- Final rinse was with diluted Apple Cider Vinegar
- Used a microfibre towel to remove excess water from my hair
- Applied Cantu Shea Butter Leave in Repair Cream and Curl Activator Cream.
- Braided my hair up
- And left it in braids for three days.
Afterwards, I needed to travel and show up for some meetings so I had to release my braids to style them. My easiest option was to slick my hair back (not to tightly of course, my edges are very important to me) with a middle part.
I want to endeavour to deep condition my hair weekly so more updates soon. 🙂
