This post A VERY convenient way to TRIM NATURAL HAIR first appeared on Igbocurls.com
Hi lovelies!
In today’s video I’ll be showing you one way I trim my natural hair. (This video was actually shot last year November but I’m only just getting around to uploading it now).
When last did you get a trim? Or have you been searching and destroying any single strand knots or split ends whenever you see them? That’s good but not quite good enough. You still need to trim your natural hair properly.
One way to do this is to blow out your natural hair which I showed in this video. It’s only an option so you don’t have to. Just make sure to trim when your hair is dry as opposed to when wet to get an accurate trim on most of your ends. Wet hair tends to stretch more than dry hair so it’s always best to trim on dry natural hair.
I used the ‘tension method’ of blowing out natural hair. Which basically means, stretching your dry freshly washed hair with your hands while you use the blow dryer (preferably on low or medium heat) over the length of your hair in a continuous motion until your hair takes the stretched shape.
You can watch the video above for a better visual explanation.
