In my previous post I opened up to you all about my postpartum shedding. I lost some parts of my edges or as I like to say, my edges went into resting stage. I feel like I have also lost some volume, but I really cannot tell at the moment.
Although, I am not to fussed about the quantity of hair that was shed, I do think it is an appropriate time to work on a new hair routine or regimen (whichever word you prefer.)
Things have obviously changed and so should my hair routine.
Previous Natural Hair Routine
Incase you are new to my website you can read more about my staple hair routine for hair growth here.
You can also find awesome tips and tricks and fantastic videos to help you on your natural hair journey if you are more of a visual learner.
So here is what I do now.
New Natural Hair Routine
- I wash my hair once a month. This includes shampoo, deep conditioning and apple cider vinegar rinse.
- I moisturise 3-4 times a week with a liquid moisturiser. You can find the ones I currently use here and here.
- I wear a silk scarf when my hair does not need to make an appearance. (This means everywhere.)
- and every-week after, I repeat step 2 and 3 and that’s it.
Easy Simple and Stress free.
Everything is extremely low maintenance. The less my hands are in my hair, the better for me and so far, I have found that this works. It does not stop my hair from shedding naturally, but it does reduce any breakage and/or shedding that may be caused by unintentionally pulling during finger combing.
Also, my website is officially part of TOP 25 Nigerian Blogs! I’m super excited! You can view it via this link.
