Belle Saturdays

Belle Saturdays

I failed to mention in my post yesterday that in this week, Belle Saturdays will come in three posts. The first explaining the the kind of wedding, the second, explaining how and why I styled my hair (this one) and third, on how my hair complimented my head wrap (Gele).

I decided to style my hair based on the idea that I did not want it to be in the way or give me any need to adjust it during the occasion. As a result, I ended up with a modified version of  The Swank.

I made a low bun leaving out a bit of my hair at the nape and then I twisted and tucked the loose hair left around the low bun. It took me about twenty minutes to do because I wanted to make sure to achieve a sleek protective style that would stay in place no matter what was put on it.

The products I used were:

  • Tresemme Naturals Shampoo
  • Anita Grants Peppermint Shampoo Bar
  • Tresemme Anti Breakage Conditioner
  • Dr Miracles Curl Care Leave-in and;
  • Ecostyler Gel (the clear one)

I also used a hair band to secure the low bun and some Ouchless Goody bobby pins for the loose twisted hair.

In the pictures you will notice the white flakes I was referring to in my Infusium 23 review. They are quite stubborn because they have a sticky texture but I hope to get rid of them on wash day.
