It’s that time of the year again lovelies. I put my hair in kinky twists wigs for 8 weeks usually in the months of March and April and its become a habit for me over the past two years.
This year I chose to use two packs of J’adore Afro kinky Twist in Colour 27. I bought this during my holiday last year for about £5.99 and what attracted me to this particular brand was that the material was a bit soft unlike most kinky twist attachments I have used in the past.
On taking the hair out of the pack to begin twists, I knew that two packs will not be nearly enough for my hair. So I began to separate the single twists. They were about 34 before I began separating and by the time I was done, I had created enough smaller pieces to circulate around my head.

To begin, I split my hair into 5 sections on three-day old hair from using African Threading. I chose not to do this on freshly washed hair because I wanted my hair to be well-stretched, moisturised and detangled completely. The 5 sections also helped me tremendously because I was busy with other things at the same time. So I set a goal to at least accomplish one section each day.
All in all, it took me a few hours spread across four days to finally complete my protective style.

I actually don’t have any hair tradition(s) as such. But I’m planning on braiding/twisting my hair with extensions to last me at least four weeks.
