A Year in Review- Top 10 Products, Posts & Hairstyles

Igbocurls

It’s the last day of 2015 people! How awesome does that sound? I am completely ecstatic and I pray as we end this year, we shall see many more years in Jesus name. (Amen).

I have compiled a list below of the best new products I found and used on my hair this year, articles I have written that you all love and also added a collage of some of my favorite hairstyles worn this year. It’s been a wonderful year for me, with tears and laughter but I am glad I’m constantly growing after every challenge. Thank you all for sticking with me this year and I pray we shall all continue to be blessed with success, good health, joy and wisdom. 🙂

Top 10 Products

1.Phytodefrisant Botanical Straightening Balm– This product is number one on my list because it surprised and surpassed my expectations. It is a heat protectant and also doubles as a styling product. Posts using this product can be found here and here.

2. Phytolisse Express Smoothing Mask- This hair mask is on this list because it is unique. The formula contains pine pulp which helped in reducing frizz when I did my roller-set and blowout. Plus, it gives the best slip I have seen so far in any hair mask.

3.Design Essentials Moisture Conditioner- I only started using this product in September so I have no thorough reviews on it but, the bottle is currently empty because my hair LOVES it.

4. Obia Naturals Babassu Deep Conditioner- Its a tie between this and Design Essentials Moisture conditioner because they both make my hair super soft, hydrated and well nourished after deep conditioning.

5. Camille Rose Naturals Almond Jai Twisting Butter- is certainly the best hair butter I tried this year. It made me like twist-outs and I just love how it smells of cake and ice cream.

6. Lotta Body Moisturize Me Curl & Style Milk- This is one of the few products I tried late this year and I can’t stop using it. It is a detangler, a moisturizer and gives my styles definition.

7. Lotta Body Wrap Me Foaming Mousse- I first tried this product with my flat bantu knots and I really liked the way it clumped my curls without leaving it feeling crunchy afterwards.

8. Carols Daughter Hair Milk Styling Butter- My hair was literally sparkling after using this product. It gives some serious sheen and absorbs easily into my hair.

9. Mane ‘n Tail Detangler- If you follow my blog, you know how much I love hair spritz. I bought this product during summer and I have been using it ever since. It does the job of moisturizing and softening my hair while its in a protective style.

10. Phytolisse Shampoo- This is the only shampoo to make it on this list because it is thick, creamy, very moisturizing and it lathered easily.

      Hi Mandy!
It depends. Products don’t thicken hair. They can only make your hair ‘appear’ thicker. Also, you will need to see a Trichologist , I recommend Natmaine of Deep Brown Kinks, (since I’m still studying) to check your follicles.

      I hope this makes sense.
