My mum bought this product a while ago because she had used both the Maximum Body formula pro-vitamin leave-in treatment and the Original Leave-in treatment by the same brand. These two products had worked well with her hair so she decided to give this new formula (at the time) a try.
Her results produced shiny, soft but sticky flaky hair so she decided this wasn’t for her hair and abandoned it. Fast forward many months later and you find me looking through some products that were moved out of her room and I find this.
I used it on wash day as a leave-in treatment followed by Anita Grants Amaretto di Cupacu and Cafe Latte.
PROS
- My hair dried faster (my hair usually takes about eight hours to air dry but this time, I had to re-apply water whilst styling because my hair began to feel dry).
- My hair was also noticeably softer,
- It added shine and;
- It gave me the best curl definition I’ve had in a while.
CONS
- The same thing that happened to mum happened to me. I noticed some sticky flakes and product build-up after the first day so I wanted to be sure it was caused by this product and re-applied it after a few days and the flakes multiplied!
I really like the effect of this product on my hair but I can’t stand the flakes. Washing them out has been such a tedious task and so far not all the flakes have come off. I doubt I will use this particular product by Infusium 23 again but let me know in the comment section if anyone of you have faced the same problem with this product, natural hair or not.
