If you have been blogging in Nigeria for a while, and by a while I mean years. At least a minimum of 2 years (as a business) then this post is for you.
1. After setting up lighting and for the ladies, dressing up and wearing makeup, PIM!… You are in utter darkness. NEPA was waiting to frustrate you the whole time.
2. Companies with NO BUDGET want you to promote their products on all your platforms in exchange for exposure…Sigh
3. Lack of Support.
People asking you how you make money, if there is any real sense to blogging, or if blogging is a real business.
4. No Unity with bloggers.
So far from my experience, I have found it difficult to collaborate with Nigerian bloggers. Maybe I have to reach out to more or they didn’t think I was worth their time. I don’t know, but there’s really an air of selfishness here and I hope we can get away from this mindset and grow together.
5. Cost of data plans.
Late last year, Nigerian telecoms giants decided they wanted to reduce the amount of data for the same amount they offered before. Like why??? Isn’t the country already tough enough?
