What’s your take?
There’s been a growing debate in the natural hair community about laying edges.
Personally, I lay my edges with a good edge control depending on the look I’m going for.
However, there is a negative mindset that has been attached to the non-sleek look. Or rather, natural edges. What’s wrong with curly edges especially on type 4 natural hair?
NOTHING!
So please my thick, coily, kinky haired queens, wear your edges the way you want, there should be no preference for both are beautiful. #teamfreeslay
Moving on, for anyone who is particular about sleek edges I made this video for you.
I used Mane Choice Growth Stimulating Edge Control with an old tooth brush. You can use a bristle brush if you prefer it. It all depends on your preference. (Yet again)
I take a little of the gel with my thumb. A little goes a long way, so start with a little and you can always add as you go.
Then brush in the style you want. Wavy, sleeked back etc.
